ANKARA - The mandates of the trustees assigned to the HDP municipalities of Van and Mardin metropolitan municipalities were extended for another two months. Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality was not notified in any way.
2 months have passed since the Ministry of Interrior dismissed the elected Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin Metropolitan Municipalities and appoint trustees instead.
The two-month appointments made by the Ministry decision expired.
The suspension period of Van Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Bedia Özgökçe Ertan and Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Ahmet Türk were extended for another two months. The decision was communicated to the co-chairs.
However, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı was not notified in nay way.
