Hunger striker Ubiç: If the isolation is not terminated, resistance will proceed to a higher level

KIRIKKALE- Emrah Ubiç, a hunger striker who sent a letter from Kırıkkale prison said: "If the isolation is not terminated, resistance will proceed to a higher level"

The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven continues in its 70th day. It was learned that 6 prisoners in an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike have recieved disciplinary penalties in Kırıkkale Type F Closed Prison  who started the hunger strike with the demand of termination of the isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
 
According to the attorneys who visited the Kırıkkale Prison last friday, some of the prisoners on hunger strike are not given B1 and B2 vitamins which are crucial for a hunger striker to stay alive. Prisoners İsmet Akın, Sedat Alçiçek and Davut Önder have not been given B1 and B2 vitamins since they started the hunger strike on December 26 and they are not allowed to be check in the prison infirmary. 
 
One of the prisoners Emrah Ubiç have sent a message via his attorneys: "We have started this hunger strike with the demand of terminating the isolation on our leader. Our demand is the demand of Leyla Güven. Our hunger strike will continue as long as the isolation continues. If the isolation is not terminated, our  resistance will proceed to a higher level."
 
Another hunger striker İsmet Akın said: " Our demand is the termination of the isolation imposed on our leader. We will continue our hunger strike since the isolation ends."
 
The names of the hunger strikers in Kırıkkale Prison are: Emrah Ubiç, İsmet Akın, Davut Önder, Sedat Çiçek, İsa İpekli and Kerem Irmak.
