NEWS CENTER - Making a statement regarding the talks with the Syrian transitional government, the DAANES said: "We adhere to the goals of the March 15 and July 19 revolution, which call for democracy, justice, and freedom. We affirm that engaging in the political process is our strategic choice."

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) made a statement regarding the talks with the Syrian transitional government.

The statement reads as follows:

"The recent meetings between the Autonomous Administration delegation of North and East Syria and the Syrian government, in the presence of representatives of the American and French governments, represent a crucial step toward launching a serious Syrian-Syrian dialogue process, which we have long sought since the outbreak of the Syrian revolution.

'UNITY IS A NON-NEGOTIABLE PRINCIPLE'

In this context, we extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to both the United States of America and the French Republic for their constructive role and their continuous efforts to support stability, peace, and democracy in Syria. After years of conflict and estrangement, sitting down at one table among Syrian forces to discuss crucial issues with seriousness and transparency is a political and historic achievement. Restoring trust among Syrian actors has become a national necessity, and overcoming it this can only be achieved through responsible dialogue.

It is time to move beyond this rhetoric, which threatens to tear apart the Syrian fabric and deepen political and social divisions. Diversity in Syria is not a threat to its unity, but rather a source of strength that must be protected and consolidated. Partnership, not exclusion, is the foundation of state-building. We declare clearly and unequivocally that the unity of Syrian territory is a non-negotiable principle and a firm pillar of the vision of the Autonomous Administration and all political forces involved with us in the national change project. Exaggeration in this matter only serves those who seek to undermine the chances of a political solution.

The demands we are putting forward today for a pluralistic democratic system, social justice, gender equality, and a constitution that guarantees the rights of all components are not new demands; they are the core of what Syrians have been protesting for since 2011. Rejecting these demands and labeling them as secession is a deliberate distortion of the truth of the Syrian struggle against tyranny.

Syrians have suffered for decades from a centralized system that monopolized power and wealth, marginalized local wills, and dragged the country into successive crises. Today, We aspire to be effective partners in building a new Syria, a decentralized Syria that embraces all its people and guarantees their rights equally. We adhere to the goals of the March 15 and July 19 revolution, which call for democracy, justice, and freedom. We affirm that engaging in the political process is our strategic choice. We will work diligently to ensure the success of the negotiations. We express our full readiness to integrate into state institutions on a democratic basis and participate in drafting a new constitution that reflects the aspirations of all Syrians.

Accordingly, we call on all parties to exercise national responsibility, reject hate speech and violence, and confront all attempts to drag the country into destructive internal conflicts. We also call on all national political forces to unite at this sensitive stage to protect the Syrian dialogue from attempts to abort it and to achieve our people's aspirations for a just, democratic, and civil state.
