WAN- Wan Peace Mothers' Assembly visited the ongoing popular resistance in front of Wan Metropolitan Municipality and stated that they will not accept this unlawful act.

Wan Peace Mothers' Assembly members visited the ongoing popular resistance in front of Wan (Van) Metropolitan Municipality and were welcomed by the people with applause and slogans. The delegation, who came to the area with co-chair Neslihan Şedal and Abdullah Zeydan, were greeted with slogans "Bijî Berxwedana Dayîka (Long live resistance of mothers", "Berxwedan jiyane kayyım talan e (Resistance is life, trustee is thief" and "Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)". A portrait with the photographs of Sheikh Said, Qazî Muhammed and Seyit Rıza was carried during the statement. Saadet Öklü made a statement on behalf of the Co-Chairs and Peace Mothers' Assembly.

Saadet Öklü started her speech by greeting the resistance of the people who have been keeping watch in cold weather for days and expressed their condemnation of the sentence given to Abdullah Zeydan. Saadet Öklü said, "They prepared an empty file for our mayor and produced an excuse to appoint a trustee. We pay off the debts of the trustees appointed by the government and then they steal by appointing trustees again. We do not accept this lawlessness. Berxwedan jiyan e trustee talan e".

MOTHERS' RESISTANCE

Neslihan Şedal stated that the will of the people is wanted to be usurped and said that the peace mothers have not left the watch area despite the cold weather for days and have been resisting. Neslihan Şedal said, "As co-chairs, we greet you with the warmth in the hearts of the mothers of peace. For years, we have been trying to build peace under the leadership of our mothers. Sometimes our mothers became peace mothers to ensure peace, sometimes they became Saturday mothers to find their missing children, sometimes they threw their white cheesecloths on the ground to stop the fights and built peace. If there will be peace one day, it will be thanks to the mothers. They pioneer the philosophy of 'Jin jiyan, azadî'. This philosophy has set an example for women all over the world."

'KURDISH PEOPLE ARE CLOSE TO FREEDOM'

Stating that the mothers of peace have also taken part in the front lines and resisted in the watch area for four days, Abdullah Zeydan said, "We are honoured by your embrace. We once again celebrate the effort of everyone, especially the mothers. the white scarfs used by the mothers is not an ordinary scarf, its greatest meaning is peace. Their hearts burned, they suffered a lot, but they did not give up their demand for peace. And if we are in this position in our struggle today, it şs thanks to our mothers in white scarf. Thanks to our mothers, the Kurdish people are very close to peace and freedom."

After the statements, the mothers danced a halay accompanied by the kilams (Kurdish traditional song) sung.
