Efrin and Shahba People's Assembly made a statement on the intense attacks of the paramilitary groups of Turkey against Tell Rifaat and Shahba. In the statement, it was pointed out that the Afrin Liberation Forces showed resistance against the attacks, and they decided to leave the region against a possible massacre against tens of thousands of civilians.

 

The statement stated following: "We would like to emphasise that leaving Shahba does not mean that we give up the struggle for the liberation of Afrin. In recent years, we have endured all the difficulties we have encountered in the camps and our struggle will continue more vigorously in the future. We will endeacour with all our strengt to liberate our lands from the occupiers. We thank the Afrin Liberation Forces for protecting us to the end and sacrificing for us to live a safe and honourable life."
