URFA- Fîras Çekjîn, one of the commanders of the Raqqa Martyrs' Revenge Campaign, said: "There is a clear coordination between ISIS and Turkey."

 

After Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria, the Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which attacked ISIS in Raqqa, continued the operations launched within the scope of the Raqqa Martyrs Revenge Campaign. A large number of weapons and ammunition were seized in the operation in which 68 ISIS members were detained once, and 32 ISIS members were detained in another. Fîras Çekjin, one of the SDF's Euphrates Region commanders, spoke to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA) regarding the operation.

 

'WE TARGETED THE PLANS OF ISIS'

 

Çekjin said: "The targeting of SDF points and Internal Security Forces Headquarters in Raqqa a month ago took place simultaneously with the incessant attacks of the invading Turkish state against Northern and Eastern Syria because there is a clear coordination between ISIS gangs and the occupying Turkish state. ISIS is reorganizing and trying to attack the region with new tactics. We realized this danger was threatening our people, and accordingly, we started security operations against ISIS cells in the region with the cooperation of the Internal Security Forces. The operation was carried out according to the plan. Our forces captured many gang members, and many weapons, ammunition and military materials prepared by ISIS to use against our forces and our people were seized. We also targeted the plans of ISIS and its supporters.”

 

THE STRONG STANCE OF PEOPLE

 

Informing that the cooperation between the security forces and the people of the region is good, Çekjîn congratulated the people's strong stance in this move. Çekjin said: "Citizens should inform about any suspicious situation they see. It is clear messages of the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries on the anniversary of the liberation of Kobanê. They are trying to strike a blow to the stability of the region, but we will defeat this idea, its source and its supporters with the spirit of the Kobanê resistance that geographically ended ISIS in Syria.”
