Eurasia Research Director Kemal Özkiraz evaluated the detention of HDP members within the scope of the "Kobanê investigation" initiated 6 years later by the Ankara Chief Prosecutor, who went to the Palace after his wedding. Referring to the operation against HDP on his Youtube channel, Özkiraz addressed CHP Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Good Party Chair Meral Akşener.

 

Stating that what was done was unlawful and the opposition had to object to it, Özkiraz said: "I wrote one by one who would be arrested by this government after the July 15 coup attempt. That list contained everyone detained and arrested today including Enis Berberoğlu. Now I am telling you one more time that they will arrest Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Meral Akşener. If you don't speak out to these unlawfulnesses today, you will all be arrested."
