Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Syrian Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Lawyers' Initiative made a joint statement on 15 February, the anniversary of the international conspiracy. In the demonstration held in front of the Social Justice Court in Kobani, a call was made to increase the struggle for the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The statement underlined that the silence of international powers is unacceptable and called for solidarity with peoples and human rights organisations.

 

In the statement, it was emphasised that a genocide system is being applied against Abdullah Öcalan and that this unlawfulness must end as soon as possible and Öcalan's physical freedom must be ensured. The statement called on peoples, human rights organisations, peace activists and friends of the Kurdish people to increase the struggle for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
