According to the 4-month report of Asrin Law Office, 52 family and lawyer visit applications for Abdullah Öcalan and 3 prisoners in İmralı Prison were left unanswered. In the application made to CPT, the prison was requested to be visited "urgently".
During the house raids in the Ankara and Istanbul several people detained including journalists Elif Bayburt and Nisa Sude Demirel.
A month after Abdullah Öcalan's historic call, the state has yet to take any steps. Action Arzu Kayaoğlu from ÖHD stated that the state must take steps in order for the process to move forward and said, "Mr. Öcalan's physical freedom must be ensured and opportunities must be provided for him to communicate with all groups."
Stating that the struggle for peace and democracy cannot be separated from each other, Tunç Soyer said that there is a need for a broad alliance that will include all the opposition in Turkey.
