Journalists and writers who were detained in house raids in Amed (Diyarbakır) within the investigation launched by Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were referred to the courthouse. Journalists and writers, whose statements were taken yesterday at Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate upon the instruction of Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were referred to Diyarbakır Courthouse today for their statements to the prosecutor's office.
The prosecutor conducting the investigation will take the statements of journalists and writers via Sound and Video Information System (SEGBIS).
The names referred to Diyarbakır Courthouse are as follows: Mezopotamya Women Journalists Association (MKG) President Roza Metina, director Ardin Diren, cartoonist Doğan Güzel, poet-writer Ahmet Hicri İzgören, journalist Ahmet Sümbül, writer-translator Ömer Barasi, photographer Emrah Kelekçier and Figen Mamedoğlu Alp.
Journalist Bilal Seçkin and Berfin Atlı, who were detained in different cities and brought to Eskişehir, were taken to Eskişehir Courthouse for their statements to the prosecutor's office. Journalists Erdoğan Alayumat, Suzan Demir and Tuğçe Yılmaz are expected to be taken to the prosecutor's office later in the day.
