DÊRSIM - Trustees were appointed to Pulur and Dêrsim municipalities.
Trustees were appointed to the municipalities of Dêrsim (Tunceli), governed by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), and Pulur (Ovacık), governed by the Republican People's Party (CHP). Citizens keeping watch at Dêrsim Municipality were taken out of the municipality. The wait in front of the municipality continues.
STATEMENT BY THE INTERIOR MINISTRY
Making a statement on the issue, the Ministry of Interior announced that Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu was appointed in place of Dêrsim co-mayors Cevdet Konak and Birsen Orhan, and district governor Hüseyin Şamil Sözen was appointed in place of Pulur Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül.
MAYORS SENTENCED WITHOUT DEFENCE
Konak and Sarıgül were sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for "being an illegal organisation member" on 20 November without taking their final defence statements.
