WAN - The protests against the trustee in Miks continued on the 4th day.

The protests that started after the appointment of a trustee to Miks (Bahçesaray) Municipality of Wan on 29 November continue. The vigil in front of the municipality buildings is on its 4th day. A large number of people, including elected co-mayors of the municipality, marched from the DEM Party building to the front of the municipality with the banner "Democracy, not Trustee". During the march, slogans such as"We will win if we resist", "Thief trustee" were frequently chanted.

THEY CALLED OUT TO THE TRUSTEE: GET OUT!

Mûş Co-Mayor Sırrı Söylemez addressed the trustee and said: "Take your hands off our elected people and get out of our cities."

Ayvaz Hazır, Co-Mayor of Miks Municipality, said: "Get out of our municipality immediately, this people gave you the necessary answer in the 31 March elections. They are usurping our municipalities with appointments, they want to punish us and our people. We will stand against this dirty mentality."

Emphasising that they come from an unyielding tradition, Miks Co-Mayor Nebahat Benek said: "Do we think that you will provide services from the municipalities you have turned into police stations? The only thing the trustee wants to do now is to destroy and punish the history of the people of Miks. The trustees will go, the people will come."

Wan Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors and Wan DEM Party MP Zülküf Uçar also reacted against the trustees and emphasised that they will not accept the trustee policies.

After the statement, a sit-in protest was organised.
