Censorship to cinema has been pass into law

ANKARA- The Law Amending the Law on Evaluation and Classification of Cinema Films prepared by the Government has been legalized through the parliament. According to the new regulation which has been criticized as 'the regulation of cencor' a committee of 8 will evaluate and classify the cinema films before presentation.

According to the new regulation,  project development, first feature fiction film production, feature  film production, co-production, script and dialogue writing, animation film production, short film production, documentary film production, post shooting, distribution and promotion and domestic film screen support types, support councils will be formed  in order to evaluate and determine the ones to be supported.
 
Again, to evaluate the applications and determine the ones to be supported in Tv series and Foreign film production, a committee of Tv Series and Support for Foreign Films will be established.
 
 The commission consisting of 8 members will evaluate and classify the films produced or imported within the country before they are presented for commercial circulation or demonstration. The films that were decided to be 'undesirable' will not be allowed to get in the commercial circulation or demonstration.
 
Cinema films that have not been evaluated and classified, can only be shown with an 18+ film age mark in festivals, special screenings and similar cultural and artistic events. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will be able to provide cinema equipment support to public institutions, organizations and public legal entities, and provide financial support to the cinema artists or cinema sector workers in need.
 
The ads shown before the motion picture will be no more than 10 minutes. The trailer time will be at least 3, not more than 5 minutes. Indications regarding public spots and social responsibility projects will not be included in these periods. The motion picture break will not exceed 15 minutes.
 
Movie theater operators will not be able to sell another product at the same time as a movie ticket. The ticket cannot be sold by combining popcorn or another product.
 
Those who do not comply with the assessment and classification obligation, and those who are  obliged to use the necessary signs and phrases but didn't, will be subject to an administrative fine of 20 thousand Turkish Liras.
 
A fine of 50 thousand liras will be applied for those who show films that do not comply with the assessment and classification obligation, and those who make films by using the necessary signs and phrases  misleadingly and 20 thousand liras of fine will be applied to the  to the organizers of the event without using the necessary signs and phrases in the demonstration and publicity areas and a fine of 50 thousand liras will be applied to  the advertising hall, movie and movie theater operators who do not abide the duration of the break time.
