DERSİM - All law enforcement officers who are single in Dersim are banned from going out after 19.00. According to the Labor and Democracy Forces, this decision is proof that law enforcement forces are parties and perpetrators in the events that have been going on in the city.

In Dersim, where the reactions to the missing university student Gülistan Doku and the rape cases have grown steadily, Governor Tuncay Sonel banned all the actions and activities to be carried out in the city in closed and open areas.

Upon this ban decision, a delegation of the city's Labor and Democracy Forces met with Deputy Governor Selçuk Yosunkaya.

During the meeting, Deputy Governor Yosunkaya was asked about the extent of the involvement of the security forces in the incidents of missing women, harassment and rape in the city. Upon this question, Yosunkaya informed that all the law enforcement personnel who are single are banned from going out at 19.00 as a result of these incidents.

However, no official statement has been made regarding this decision.

DİSK / Genel-İş Dersim Branch President Şükran Yılmaz and HDP Provincial Co-Chair Nurşat Yeşil spoke to MA about the recent events in the city.

While Yılmaz said: "We asked about the very serious allegations and disinformation going on in the city, why their perpetrators were not disclosed yet and the rape allegations about the 3 specialized sergeants. He told us that the single law enforcement officers are banned from going out after 19.00. Police forces are definitely behind the harassment and rape in the city. If they are not, what are these prohibitions for?  This decision is also proof that law enforcement officers are parties and perpetrators in developing events. It is a concrete acceptance. It is not possible to define it in a different way."

HDP Provincial Co-Chair Nurşat Yeşil said: "This decision is also the acknowlagdement of the governorship that the law enforcement and forces affiliated with them are involved in these incidents. We know that the law enforcement officers are responsible for the rapes and harrassments in the city. The Governorship's curfew decision shows that they know that as well."
