İSTANBUL - Demonstrations were held in many locations in İstanbul to draw attention to the hunger strikes against the isolation.
The demonstrations families of the hunger striking prisoners made continues in Beyoğlu, Kartal, Beykoz and Ümraniye with an intense participation.
'GOVERNMENT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE'
Many people who gathered in Ümranitye wore t-shits with the pictures of DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven on it.The group who held hand in hand made a human chain marched with slogans regarding the removal of the isolation. The crowd who reached the iftar tent, stating that they are face to face with a government that does not recognize the will of the people, said: "Thousands of people are on hunger strike which was initiated by our Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven. These people are on hunger strike to make the government apply their own laws. 30 people are in a death fast since April 30.Since the demands of our comrades are met, they will resist in therei and we will resist out here."
Demonstrations were made in Kartal, Beyoğlu and Beykoz as well.
