Details of the Damascus meeting: 10 March agreement must be fully implemented

NEWS CENTER - At the meeting between the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) and Syrian transitional government officials, the topics of full implementation of the 10 March agreement, fulfilment of promises made regarding refugees, and the establishment of a mechanism for the unification of institutions were discussed.

 
A meeting was held between representatives of the DAANES and officials from the Syrian transitional government at the Tishreen Palace in Damascus. The North and East Syria delegation included Syrian Democratic Forces SDF Commander Mazloum Ebdi, Co-Chair of the Democratic Autonomous Administration's Foreign Relations Department Ilham Ehmed, Co-Chair of the North and East Syria Representatives Committee Foza Yusif, and Co-Chair of the Future of Syria Party Ebid Hamid El Mihbaş.
 
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Esad El-Shibani, Interior Minister Enes Xetab, Defence Minister Murhef Ebu Qesra and Syrian Intelligence Service President Hisên Selamê on behalf of the Syrian Transitional Government.
 
The meeting was also attended by US Special Representative for Syria Thomas Barrack, US Special Representative for North and East Syria Scott Bowles, a member of the US Congress, French government representative Jean-Baptiste Faivre and his delegation.
 
According to information obtained by Hawar News Agency (ANHA), the meeting discussed the implementation of the agreement signed on 10 March between QSD Commander Mazlum Ebdi and Syrian Transitional Government President Ehmed al-Shara. It was also noted that the obstacles and difficulties preventing the implementation of the agreement must be removed.
 
It was learned that the North and East Syria delegation stated that the transitional government must fulfil its promises to those who were forcibly displaced from Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. It was noted that the meeting discussed the issue of border crossings and how the Autonomous Administration institutions would be integrated with government institutions. It was also emphasised that there was a need for security and military cooperation between the two sides.
