NEWS CENTER - Gulistan TARA Documentary Commune has announced its establishment. The commune stated that the 90-part series-documentary titled "Kurdish Resurrection", which tells the history of the PKK, will soon meet with the audience.

Gulistan TARA Documentary Commune announced its establishment with a statement on its virtual media accounts. In its statement, the Documentary Commune underlined that within the tradition of the free press in the Kurdish freedom struggle, the search for truth continues from Mazlum Doğan to Gurbetelli, from Apê Musa to Halil Dağ, Nazım, Cihan, Kemal, Agit and Gülistan.

The statement of the Commune reads: "A brand new position in this fight is now emerging with the need to document the truth, to make lived experiences eternal and to write accurate history as a requirement of the communication age we are in. The Commune, which is organised in all four parts of Kurdistan and abroad, has started to bring together the experience and expertise of documentary filmmaking within the tradition of the free press, which has reached half a century, and to gather the rich archival and theoretical corpus under one roof. Documentary work in Kurdistan will be shouldered with a new communisation.

Truth, under the guidance of information and documents, will reach societies and be made livable, transformed into value, lived experiences will be eternalised in social memories, and an important contribution will be made to accurate historiography. Our commune considers itself responsible for revealing all distorted and suppressed truths in order to re-realise a free, democratic, ecological, women's libertarian sociality. Documentary is not a work limited to making statements. It is a memory-forming, educative, guiding and socialising work in all areas of life. They are also emotional artefacts that heal, form and builg the world of mentality and conscience of a democratic society. These facts are the reasons why documentary work must be much more effective, widespread, organised and competent. For this purpose, we announce that we have taken our place in the relentless and arduous struggle of truth-seeking as part of our Free Press tradition under the name of Martyr Gülisatn TARA Documentary Commune."

On the other hand, it also announced that the 90-part series-documentary titled "Kurdish Resurrection", which has been in the works for 8 years and is about the history of the PKK, will meet with the audience in Kurdish and Turkish versions very soon.
