MARDİN - A mass visit was paid to the condolences of Bubo Taş, who set his body on fire against the isolation imposed upon PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz said that Taş's stance is a rebellion against isolation.

 

A mass visit was paid to the condolences of Bubo Taş, who set his body on fire the previous day, against the heavy isolation imposed upon PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Berdan Öztürk, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Party Spokesperson Ebru Günay, HDP and DBP executives and many people paid a condolence visit. The crowd gathered in the Small Industrial Estate where Bubo Taş ended his life and marched to the İstasyon Mahallesi Office Condolence House. During the march, the crowd often chanted "Martyries can die", while the relatives of Bubo Taş greeted the crowd at the door of the condolence house. After the crowd entered the house of condolence accompanied by slogans and scoldings, a moment of silence was held in memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom and democracy.

 

AYDENİZ: Taş's stance is a rebellion against isolation

 

While Taş's wife and siblings greeted those who came, DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz spoke. Noting that the situation entered into today was revealed by the action of Bubo Taş, Aydeniz said: “It showed that the isolation on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is implemented on all of us. Turkey and 4 parts of Kurdistan are held under heavy isolation, under heavy political pressure, under a war policy in the person of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan. This action of Bubo Taş shows us an important way to break the isolation. Bubo Taş's stance is a rebellion against isolation. We need to see this rebellion too. We should strengthen our unity and alliance as Bubo wants. We will further expand our organization with our unity and alliance. Mr. Abdullah Öcalan will break the isolation, and once this isolation is broken, all of Kurdistan will be liberated. We will fight until this happens."

 

ÖZTÜRK: They have started war against our language 

 

Taking the floor afterwards and stating that the Kurdish people, from the age of 7 to 70, knew where the address of the solution was, Berdan Öztürk said: “The solution is Mr. Öcalan. Today, the martyrdom of friend Bubo sends a message to the whole of Turkey. We have stated this over and over. The red line of the Kurdish people is Mr. Öcalan. Mr. Öcalan is based on enlarging and glorifying life, and resisting the end of one's life. He is resisting on Imrali Island. Not only for the Kurdish people, but for the peoples of Turkey and the Middle East. Fascist, racist, monist Kurdish enemies have started the war by applying a heavy isolation since April 5, 2015. A war was started against the existence of the Kurds, not only in the North, but in the 4 parts of Kurdistan. They started a war against our identity and our language. It continues today; therefore, the action of the friend Bubo is a sacred action. We really don't want such an action to take place. The Kurdish People's Leader does not want it either. This message is an important one for us as well as for the Turkish opposition. The Kurdish problem must be resolved. The solution to the Kurdish problem cannot be with the USA and Russia. The first is possible to end the isolation, and the second is possible with the physical freedom of Mr. Öcalan. The hope for the oppressed peoples, as well as for the Middle East, is the ideas and thoughts of Mr. Öcalan.”
