Noting that Turkey was not able to succeed in the war it waged in the Zap, Metina and Avaşin regions, Aslan said that's why it started to use chemical weapons, which is against international conventions to which it is a party, and continued: “We demand that Turkey is held to account"

'USE OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS IS A WAR CRIME'

Reminding the video released by the HPG, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Mersin Provincial Co-Spokesperson Yeter Güzel said, "This is a crime, even war should have a law. Yes, there has been a war for 40 years. There is war all over the Middle East, but using this kind of chemicals is a war crime and a crime against humanity. International organizations should not remain silent about this."

Emphasizing that the use of chemical weapons is a war crime, HDP Mersin Youth Assembly Spokesperson Özkan Yalçın stated that the attacks were aimed at destroying the gains of the Kurds and said: “I call on all our people to participate in this march and fulfill their responsibilities in this regard. We will raise our demands at the point of revealing the allegations of the use of chemical weapons."
