NEWS CENTER - Pointing out that the possible attack against djemevi, mentioned by Sedat Peker could not be independent from the government, DAD Co-Chair Saime Topçu said: "They agree when stealing the values that belong to the people, they fall out with each other when sharing."

Sedat Peker, the director of the state-linked gang organization, announced that there was a plan to attack the djemevi from his social media account. Mentioning former Minister of Interior Mehmet Ağar, Peker said: "The reason I speak about the Alevis a lot is that I know Ağar's men will carry out an attack, even worse than the attack against the cafe in Bahçelievler. They are planning to attack a djemevi."

Democratic Alevi Associations (DAD) Co-chair Saime Topçu pointed out that the government would be responsible for a possible attack.

Stating that those organized under the name of the mafia are hostile to all values of the society, Topçu noted that these people also resorted to all kinds of lies, conspiracy, pressure and murder in order to shape the democratic forces of the society in line with their needs. They talk about patriotism all the time while the struggle for power among themselves continues uninterruptedly. They get along while stealing the values that belong to the people, but they fall out with each other when sharing and they never trust each other. Today, the ones who make Sedat Peker speak freely are those in power."

Stating that "democracy of gangs and mafia" comes into play in countries where there is no democracy, Topçu said that the pressure and threats against Alevis are not new. Reminding the previous attacks and threats against the Alevis, Topçu underlined that these attacks and threats were made by the state and the law enforcement officers.

ATTACKS AGAINST THE ALEVIS

Mentioning the weapons sent to paramilitary groups in Syria and claiming that they were being sent to the Turkmens, Topçu told that massacres were carried out with these weapons and they were used against the Kurdish Alevis. Topçu said: "It was not these paramilitary groups that carried out these massacres against Alevis, but those who took part in the most key positions of the state bureaucracy and represented the state. Whether their name is 'deep state' or 'mafia'... As a result, they declare that they are working on behalf of the state and in the knowledge of the state. What is being disclosed by Peker is a crime and threats against Alevis must be investigated."

'IT CAN NOT BE INDEPENDENT FROM THE GOVERNMENT'

Emphasizing that Peker's confessions reveal the dirty relations and the crimes committed by the government against Kurds and Alevis, Topçu said: "We take the claims of Peker about an attack against the Alevis very seriously. We know that it can not be independent from the government if such an attack is carried out against the Alevis. And if such a thing happens, the whole society will suffer its consequences."
