Police raided the house of Nazime Avcu, the Co-Mayor of the Kozluk Municipality early this morning. Following the search at her place, Avcı was detained and taken to Kozluk District Police Department in the presence of dozens of police and armoured vehicles.

 

In the morning, police raided the house of Nazime Avcı, the co-chair of the Municipality of Kozluk in Batman. After the search made at home, Avcı was detained in the presence of many police and armored vehicles. While no information was received about the reason for his detention, Hunter was taken to the Kozluk District Police Department.

 

Kozluk Municipality was won by Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) with the March 31, 2019 elections. Kozluk Mayor Ayhan Eren resigned from the HDP and became a member of the AKP.
