AMED - Mexican Professor Raúl Delgado Wise stated that he unconditionally supports the Peace and Democratic Society Process being carried out to resolve the Kurdish issue.
Support continues to pour in from around the world for Kurdish people’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan's Call for Peace and a Democratic Society. Mexican professor Raúl Delgado Wise announced his support for the Peace and Democratic Society Process.
Raúl Delgado Wise's message reads as follows: "I am part of the collective ‘Llegó la hora de los pueblos’ (The Time Has Come for the Peoples), and we have repeatedly expressed and demonstrated our solidarity with the Kurdish people and their historic struggle. I therefore express my unconditional support for the initiative promoted by Kurdish politics to seek a democratic and peaceful solution to the Kurdish question in Turkey. This initiative is backed by a long list of prominent intellectuals from around the world. We are living in turbulent times, marked by a civilisation-wide crisis in which xenophobia and racism are rampant. Initiatives such as this one are therefore not only welcome, but also necessary if we are to envisage a better future.
