The Democracy Watch continued in Nusaybin on its 33rd day following the appointments of trustees to the municipalities of People's Democratic Party (HDP). While the party building was under police blocade, the people marched to the Peace Park. HDP Şırnak MP Hüseyin Kaçmaz made a statement in the park after the sit in.
Kaçmaz stating that AKP is ignoring the will of the people, said: "They appointed trustees to our municipalities 3 years ago. Today AKP and MHP fascism is using all their power against the Kurdish and against the democracy in Turkey. They should all know that this will was attacked by other governments before. They also tried to intimidate the Kurdish people but the struggle of this community continues."
Kaçmaz stating that AKP is in a process of disintegration, said the Kurdish problem is causing this deadlock. Kaçmaz said: "The problems of this country will not end until Kurdish problem is solved. AKP- MHP government continues with their war policies. The act of appointed trustees is unlawful and this unlawfulness is not being done to the Kurdish alone. It is being done to the democracy of this country and its people.Today, millions walk on the path of Musa Anter. HDP have never been silenced and never will be. HDP is the party that will bring peace to the Middle East."
The statement ended with applause and slogans.
