RİHA - Tens of thousands marching from Pirsus (Suruç) district of Riha (Urfa) to the Kobanê border are continuing their march despite police attacks.

 

Police attacked with tear gas tens of thousands of people who gathered in the district of Pirsûs under the leadership of the Democratic Institutions Platform and marched towards the Kobanê border in response to the attacks on Rojava by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), ISIS and Turkey-backed groups. 

 

Tens of thousands marching from Republic Square towards the Kobanê border chanting "Bîjî berxwdana Rojava (Long live resistance of Rojava)", "Bîjî Serok Apo (Long live Leader Apo)" and "Şehid namirin (Martyrs won’t die)" continued their march despite police attacks. 

 

Despite tear gas and heavy snowfall in the district, tens of thousands are trying to reach the border through side streets.

 

Following the police attack, resistance began in all the streets of Pirsûs.
