Detention period extended for five journalists

MÊRDİN - The detention period for 22 people, including five journalists, in Nisêbîn (Nusaybin) district of Mêrdîn (Mardin) has been extended by one day.
  
Twenty-two people, including journalists Pelşin Çetinkaya, Heval Önkol, Kesira Önel, Ferhat Akıncı and Muhammed Ali Yılmaz, were detained under torture during a march in the Nisêbîn against the attacks on Rojava.
 
The 22 detainees are being held at the Mardin Provincial Police Headquarters, awaiting questioning. According to information obtained from lawyers, the Nusaybin Prosecutor's Office's instructions are awaited, after which the statements will be taken. 
 
Meanwhile, the detention period of the 22 individuals has been extended by one day.
