NEWS CENTER – As attacks on cities in northern and eastern Syria continue, a Damascus-based disinformation unit reportedly established to shape public perception against Rojava has intensified its activities, including the use of AI–generated content.

 

According to local sources, armed individuals wearing “press” vests are active on the ground, while online operations increasingly rely on AI-generated material. Several Telegram accounts have circulated false claims suggesting that the city of Hesekê has been evacuated, using content allegedly produced through artificial intelligence tools.

 

In addition, audio recordings attributed to senior commanders of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been disseminated online. These recordings are reportedly fabricated using voice imitation technologies and contain misleading information.
