In this context, Spanish poet, essayist, literary translator and Professor of Moral Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Jorge Riechmann, sent a message to the Mezopotamya Agency (MA), stating that they are following the process with great interest from Spain.    Riechmann's message reads as follows: “The steps taken in 2025 by Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK, who undoubtedly represent very important sectors of the Kurdish people, have opened new avenues for the democratisation of Turkey and peaceful coexistence in a tormented region. From Spain, we are following the process with great interest, and I would like to express my support for these courageous movements, together with the hope that the Turkish government will respond in a manner commensurate with the circumstances. In times of increasing militarisation in many parts of the world, seeking paths to peace must be one of our primary objectives.
