Electricity distribution corporation billed mukhtars: Assets seized 2025-09-23 09:27:45   ŞIRNEX – Dicle Electricity Distribution Corporation (DEDAŞ), seized the properties of mukhtars in five districts of Şirnex (Şırnak) due to unpaid electricity debts of pumping stations providing water to villages.    DEDAŞ issued a seizure order on the assets of the mukhtars when the electricity bills worth millions of liras issued to the mukhtars representing the village legal entities were not paid.   The mukhtar of Kevelî village in Cizîr (Cizre) was issued a debt of 85 million Liras in one file and 260 million liras in another.    The mukhtar of Hoser village was issued invoices for 80, 65, 55, 250 and 75 million liras.    The mukhtar of Tilehferîk village was issued invoices for 28, 36, 38, 60, 43, 22, 39 and 23 million liras on different dates.    The mukhtar of Zewkê village was also issued invoices for 90, 200, 60 and 20 million liras.    The mukhtar of Arnebat village was invoiced 160 million liras in a single item.     60 VILLAGE MUKHTARS IN HEZEX IN BANKRUPTCY   Similar practice was reflected in the villages in Hezex (İdil) district. The mukhtar of Xanahaso village was issued invoices for 60, 55, 61, 13, 40, 73 and 24 million liras.    The mukhtar of Xirabê Nêriya was issued electricity bills amounting to 35, 38, 54, 25, 40, 71, 57, 108, 60, 560, 66, 72 and 15 million liras. The mukhtar of Açmak village was issued invoices for 47, 55 and 39 million, while the mukhtar of Banih village was issued electricity invoices for 24, 33, 28, 150, 33, 18, 27 and 26 million liras.    The mukhtar of Dupiç village was issued invoices amounting to 24, 27, 25, 13, 18, 33, 29, 29, 31, 28 and 33 million liras on different dates.    Enforcement proceedings were also initiated in Hetman and Bana villages of Basa (Güçlükonak) district.   MUKHTAR OF 83 VILLAGES PUT UNDER EXECUTION    It is learnt that 60 village mukhtars in Hezex and 20 village mukhtars in Cizîr were put under execution by DEDAŞ. This was due to the water bills that the villagers did not pay were charged to the mukhtars through the legal entity. The mukhtars filed a lawsuit against DEDAŞ.    Stating that it is unlawful for the village legal entity, and therefore the mukhtars, to be held responsible for their own consumption, the mukhtars started a legal struggle against the enforcement proceedings.    MA / Zeynep Durgut
