Abdullah Öcalan: We are entering a new phase

	NEWS CENTER – People’s Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party İmralı Delegation shared the details of the meeting with Abdullah Öcalan with a written statement. 

	 

	The delegation held the meeting before the week in which critical developments are expected to take place regarding solution of the Kurdish issue. The meeting of the delegation consisting of Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar and Ozgur Faik Erol with Abdullah Öcalan lasted two and a half hours. After the meeting the delegation shared a written statement regarding the details of the meeting. 

	 

	The statement reads: 

	 

	“To the press and public;

	 

	Today, as a delegation, we had a very efficient meeting with Mr Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı Prison that lasted two and a half hours.

	Mr Öcalan was very good in terms of health and morale. In our meeting, he stressed that the process is moving to a new stage. He stated that with the new steps to be taken, everyone, all of us, have responsibilities to fulfill the requirements of the process.

	 

	Stating that our delegation members attaches great importance to the meeting to be held with the President Erdogan, he mentioned that this meeting is historical. Similarly, he drew attention to the commission to be established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey will play a major role in peace and solution. 

	 

	We saw that the hope, trust and belief of this process to contribute to democratization process of Turkey is extremely strong.

	 

	Today, we received the information during the meeting that there were soldiers who lost their lives due to coal gas poisoning in the territory of the Kurdistan Regional Administration. This incident caused a derp sadness in Mr Öcalan and all of us. On this occasion, we wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives and express our condolences to their families and relatives.
