Number of prisons participating in the hunger strike reaches 106 2023-12-05 16:01:31   ANKARA - Two more prisons joined the hunger strike in prisons for demanding "freedom of Abdullah Öcalan and a solution to the Kurdish issue". The number of prisons where prisoners took action reached 106 with the new participants.   Two more prisons joined the rotating hunger strike that started in 104 prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan on November 27, demanding "freedom of Abdullah Öcalan and a solution to the Kurdish issue."   PKK and PAJK prisoners in Çankırı Type E Closed Penal Institution and Samsun Kavak Type S High Security Prison also participated in the hunger strike action.   Thus, the number of prisons where the protest continued reached 106.   THE ACTION OF HUNGER STRIKE IS ON ITS 9TH DAY   The rotating hunger strike action launched to end the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is held in İmralı F Type High Security Prison, and to ensure his physical freedom continues on its 9th day.   The action, which started on November 27 within the scope of the "Freedom of Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish issue" campaign, will continue until February 15, 2024.
