Draws attention to the 300 murdered women

İSTANBUL- Artist Aslı Aydemir's ’Social Media Effect’ exhibition on female murders kicked off. Aydemir said about the exhibition which the art was made by using porcelene, and dedicated to the murdered women, " I wanted to work a subject that made me very uncomfortable in the last years and to make peace with them."
 
The exhibition called "Social Media Effect"addressing the violence against women and femicide met with the art lovers in Concept Gallery in Beyoğlu, İstanbul. Aydemir aims to make people never forget about the violence against women and to never let them get used to it with the exhibition that has kicked off on December 6th.
 
In the “Social Media Effect” exhibition of Aydemir, which is the second personal exhibition of the artist, the material used are; porcelene, epoxy, linol press and ready to use materials. The name of the pieces on display are "Snow White", "Laced toast presentation", "Collection Barbies", "Rumour's Newspaper", Two Faced Barbie", "Unwritten holy book". It also draws attention that of the arts were given the names of the 300 women that were murdered in the firs 11 months of 2018. The exhibition can be seen everyday except sunday and monday until January 6.
