Ayşe Teacher's appeal for stay is accepted

DİYARBAKIR- Ayşe Çelik who is known as Ayşe Öğretmen's plea for a stay of execution is accepted by Diyarbakır Chief of Prosecutioner's Office.
 
Ayşe Çelik's plea for stay execution was accepted. Ayşe Öğretmen was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months of jail time because she called "Beyaz Show" to say "Don't let the children die" in live television during the curfew in 2016. Diyarbakır Chief of Prosecutioner's Office accepted the appeal of Ayşe Çelik who was put into prison on April 20 with her 6 months old daughter, and with the appeal stay approved ,was released on May 4. If the plea would be denied, she was going to have to go back to prison with her daughter.
 
The verdict was announced from Çelik's attorney Mahsuni Karaman's social media account. The sentence was postponed until April 17, 2019.
