Parents of a hunger striker was hospitalized 2019-05-14 16:32:25 URFA - Zehra Gümüş and Nebi Gümüş, parents of Şahin Gümüş who is on hunger strike for 75 days in Bolu Prison, were hospitalized. Their granddaughter Sultan Gümüş said they were so upset about their son they couldn't eat and they got weak, and that's why they were hospitalized.     Zehra Gümüş and Nebi Gümüş, parents of Şahin Gümüş who is on hunger strike in Bolu Type F Closed Prison since March 1, fell ill and taken to Suruç State Hospital. Sultan Gümüş who stated that her grandparents are too upset to eat, said:"My uncle is on hunger strike for 75 days now. They feel so upset. They are sad all the time. They got sick out of sadness."     Sultan Gümüş who stated that the old grandparents were taken home after their treatment, said her grandfather is 87 and her grandmother is 85. Gümüş said: "They don't eat because they are sad. We forced them to eat and even then they eat so little. They can't visit their son because of their old age. I hope this process won't string out further and the demands of the prisoners are met."
