Prisoners protests the pressures in Kürkçüler Prison

ADANA - Prisoners who carried out 6 direct actions protesting the psychological pressures and the physical attacks, called on to the society to make the prisoners heard.

Democratic Districts Party (DBP) Adana Provincial Executive Halit Şaşmaz who is in Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison shared the violations of rights via his family. 
 
 
Şaşmaz stated that they were subjected to intense psychological and physical attacks in the prison where they stayed and asked all the sensitive public and human rights defenders to help them make their voices heard.
 
 
'WE DID NOT ACCEPT STRIP SEARCH SO WE WERE BATTERED'
 
 
Reminding that he was taken into custody in the operation against the HDP Adana Provincial Youth Assembly on 17 June, Şaşmaz stated that he was subjected to police abuse and torture during his detention.Şaşmaz then stated that him and 7 other people were arrested based on false testimonies and anonymous witnesses. 
 
Şaşmaz who stated that they were beaten at the entrance of Kürkçüler F Type Closed Prison where they were taken on June 25, because they did not accept the imposition of a naked search, said: "We have been subjected to maltreatment and violations of rights both in the police station, courthouse and in prison. Our wards are being raided by the guards on a daily basis, they force us to stand up during counts. We do not accept this. We are carrying out direct actions 6 times a day and calling on to the public to help us make our voices heard."
