11 years imprisonment requested for Canan Kaftancıoğlu

ISTANBUL - Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul Provincial Chairman Canan Kaftancıoğlu was charged with ”insulting the president",  "provoking people publicly to hatred and hostility",  "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" and a sentence of 2 years and 9 months to 11 years was requested.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman of the Istanbul Provincial Canan Kaftancıoğlu was accused of "insulting the president", "insulting a public officer", "humiliation of the Republic of Turkey," "Provoking people publicly to hatred and enmity" and  "terrorist organization propaganda" and an indicment was prepared for her.
 
 
The indictment prepared within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Bureau of Terror and Organized Crime of Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office on 15 January 2018 and filed a request for 2 years and 9 months to 11 years of imprisonment.
