ANKARA - The life sentence for Nevin Yıldırım who killed Nurettin Gider who sexually assulated her in self defence was approved by the Supreme Court.

 

 

The life sentence Yalvaç High Criminal Court gave for Nevin Yıldırım who killed Nurettin Gider who sexually assaulted her in self defence was approved by the Penal Department no. 1 of the Supreme Court. 

 

The last hearing of the Case where the Supreme Court of Appeals Prosecutor's Office opined towards the approval of the sentence was held on May 16. Penal Department no. 1 of the Supreme Court announced their decision early today.

 

 

While the Supreme Court decided that the decision of Yalvaç High Criminal COurt was lawful, it was learned that one of the members stated that 'Unjust Provocation'remission must be applied.
