Ergin Erhan on death fast: The Kurdish youth must claim the resistance of their mothers

DİYARBAKIR - Ergin Akhan who is on the 14th day of his death fast against the isolation in İmralı, drawing attention to the police attacks to the mothers, said: "The Kurdish youth must claim the resistance of our mothers and not be a mere spectator."

Ergin Akhan who turned his hunger strike which he joined on March 1, to a death fast because the government and the public remained unresponsive, have send a message via his family. Akhan who celebrated the Mother's Day, said: "I celebrate the day of all resisting mothers. We will found  free Kurdistan and lay it under their feet to be worthy of them."
 
 
Akhan who addressed the Kurdish youth, said: "We can not comprehend this silence. Our mothers who raised us with such difficulty are being batttered by the police on a daily basis, they are being insulted.Those mothers who have lost their children for the fight for freedom, they are being dragged through the streets. We are their sons and daughters and yet we are silent.. We do not react. We will not accept this. The Kurdish youth must claim the resistance of their mothers and not be just a mere spectator or we can not say we are worthy of them."
