ADANA - Fecriye Benek who stated that 18 prisoners are on hunger strike in Bayburt Prison including her, said: "Those who remain silence regarding this resistance will not be included in the amnesty scope . Because our resistance is as incendiary  and constant as the sunlight."

 
Fecriye Benek who is being kept at Bayburt Type M Closed Prison, is on hunger strike for 74 days demanding the isolation to be removed. Benek stated that there are 18 prisoners on hunger strike including her, in Bayburt Prison.

Benek said: "The resistance initiated by Leyla comrade with the attandance of thousands of our friends inside and outside is an extraordinarily sublime. The resistance tradition we inherited from Kemal Pir is being witnessed by the world today. His comrades have stepped up the resistance on April 30 with the death fast move."
 
 
’ÖCALAN IS THE LIVE MEMORY OF THE SOCIETY‘
 
Benek stated that the main axis of their resistance is the isolation of the leader of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan. Benel said : " Because Rêber Apo means the living memory of the historical society. Rêber Apo means the strongest eye and mind attached to the binoculars of history in the name of truth. Our resistance is the strength of our determination."
 
Benek who drew attention to the meeting with Öcalan, said: "As the 18 hunger striking prisoners in Bayburt, we will continue our hunger strike until the aggravated isolation is permanently removed. We want to add that those who remain silence regarding this resistance will not be included in the amnesty scope."
