36 thousand Syrians votes on March 31 local elections

ANKARA- Minister of Interrior Süleyman Soylu who answered the questions at the budget discussions, said 72 thousand Syrians were made citizens and 36 thousand Syrians will vote on March 31 elections.

Minister of Interrior Süleyman Soylu responded to the questions of parliamentarians in the 2019 Budget Discussions in the general assembly.
 
Soylu answered the question 'How many Syrians were made citizens in Hatay? How many more citizenship will be given to Syrians?'
 
Soylu said: "Who are we confering citizenships to? Teachers, engineers, doctors, judges, lawyers, senior executives, architects, academicians, tradesmen, businessmen..We have confered 36 thousand adults Turkish Citizens, they have 36 thousand children. As a total, 72 thousand Syrians were confered citizens.
 
Soylu who claimed that 28 thousand of them had the right to vote the last elections, said: " ıf you calculate, 36 thousand of them has the right to vote now. Its no secret."
