Trustee unrest in Mardin: AKP people on the way to Ankara 2019-09-09 15:15:54 MARDİN - Up on the re-appointment of Mardin Governer Mustafa Yaman as the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality trustee, some of the AKP people set off to Ankara. An AKP councilor, recalling the voices rising from inside the AKP during the trustee period, said they are concerned that the unrest might grow.   While the reactions continue regarding the appointment of trustees to Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin, a new wave of unrest began in AKP's Mardin Provincial Organization.  Some names within the AKP's Mardin Provincial Organization say that they have not been able to explain the appointment of a trustee to the party base. The fact that Mardin Governor Mustafa Yaman, who was a trustee in Mardin Metropolitan Municipality between the dates of November 2016 and March 31, 2019, is known as corruption and irregularities, is the most basic issue why the AKP people are uncomfortable with.      While some of leading names in AKP set off to Ankara upon Yaman's appointment as a trustee, a group including AKP Provincial Executives are said to have been trying to send Yaman away from Mardin. Again, according to the local sources, some businessmen have also went to Ankara to hold talks with ministers. One of the most important names who are distrubed by the fact that Yaman is appointed as a trustee is former AKP Provincial President Nihat Eri and his circle. Eri and his crew that resigned from AKP before the March 31 elections, are said to have conveyed their disturbance to the party headquarters after Yaman's appointment as a trustee. Eri and his team are also in talks with Ali Babacan and Ahmet Davutoglu team, which are founding a new party.
