VAN - HDP's Muradiye, Özalp and Başkale Co-Mayors are taken into custody. In Diyarbakır, HDP Bağlar Municipality Council Member Naşide Buluttekin is also taken into custody.
Van's People's Democratic Party (HDP) Muradiye Municipality Co- Mayor Yılmaz Şahan, Özalp Municipality Co- Mayor Yakup Almaç and Başkale Municipality Co- Mayor Erkan Acar were taken into custody during police raids on their homes. Co- Mayors whose houses were raided were taken to Van Provincial Security Directorate following the searches in their houses.
COUNCIL MEMBER DETAINED
HDP Bağlar Municipality Council Member Naşide Buluttekin who was dismissed and a trustee was appointed in her place, was taken into custody as a result of a raid on her home. Can was taken to Diyarbakır Security Directorate Anti Terrorism Unit following the search in her house. Can was dismissed from office on October 22 with 5 more counil members and trustees were appointed in their places.
