No information on detained Kurdish teacher Forûzan Îslamî

NEWS CENTER - Kurdish teacher Forûzan Îslamî was reportedly detained in Urmiye (Urmia) without a court order, and no information has been received about her whereabouts.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network and local sources reported that Kurdish woman Forûzan Îslamî, who lives in the Rojhilat (East  Kurdistan, Iran) city of Urmia, was detained by Iranian regime forces.
 
According to the reports, the home of Forûzan Îslamî, an English teacher and head of the “Newcewan” Language Academy, was raided by security forces. During the raid, which was carried out without the presentation of any court order, Forûzan Îslamî was detained and taken to an undisclosed location.
 
No information has so far been made available regarding where Forûzan Îslamî is being held or her state of health.
 
It was stated that Forûzan Îslamî, who works in the field of English language education, is one of the well-known Kurdish women in Urmia.
