Communication and visiting bans imposed on beaten prisoners

SAMSUN – Three prisoners who were beaten by prison guards who entered their cell under the pretext of a cell change have been handed four-month communication and two-month visiting bans.
 
Mahsum Arslan, Muhammet Ahmet and Kerem Karagöz, prisoners at Samsun Çarşamba S-Type Prison, were subjected to a disciplinary investigation after being beaten by prison guards who entered their cell on 26 March under the pretext of a cell change; they have been sentenced to a four-month ban on communication and a two-month ban on visits. 
 
The prisoners have lodged an appeal against the penalties with the Enforcement Court.
