The Suweyda Defence Forces Command announced that Syrian transitional government forces shelled the district of Risas, west of the city, late last night. 

 

The statement reads: “Radical groups affiliated with the terrorist regime in Damascus have once again violated the ceasefire, firing artillery indiscriminately at the district of Risas with the aim of destabilising the situation and spreading fear among civilians. This attack is yet another in their systematic violations.’

 

The statement noted that the National Defence Forces had responded to the attack, adding, “The National Defence Forces, closely monitoring developments on the ground, will respond to the attacks and protect the safety and honour of the people of Al Cebel.”
