Families reached İHD: Two prisoners tested positive for coronavirus in Silivri 2020-04-09 14:42:04 İSTANBUL - It was claimed that 2 political prisoners in Silivri No. 5 L Type Closed Prison were diagnosed with Coronavirus (Covid- 19) and instead of being quarantined, they were sent back to their wards.  It was claimed that 2 prisoners from Silivri No 5 Type L Closed prison tested positive for coronavirus and 3 prisoners have the symptoms of the virus.   Gülseren Yoleri, Head of Human Rights Association (İHD) Istanbul Branch, told that a prisoner called M.A called them and said: "Z.S and H.P tested positive for Covid- 19. They were brought back to the wards because there is no quarantine ward. After they were brought back to the ward, N.B and H.U who has a chronic disease started to have difficulty breathing and M.F.E had a fever and coughs. None of them were tested yet."   Yoleri, stating that they can not confirm this information, called for precautions to be taken urgently in prisons.    Z.S who tested poisitive for coronavirus participated in the hunger strike action initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Leyla Güven on December 26, 2018.
