
Families reached İHD: Two prisoners tested positive for coronavirus in Silivri

	İSTANBUL - It was claimed that 2 political prisoners in Silivri No. 5 L Type Closed Prison were diagnosed with Coronavirus (Covid- 19) and instead of being quarantined, they were sent back to their wards.&nbsp;

	It was claimed that 2 prisoners from Silivri No 5 Type L Closed prison tested positive for coronavirus and 3 prisoners have the symptoms of the virus.

	&nbsp;

	Gülseren Yoleri, Head of Human Rights Association (İHD) Istanbul Branch, told that a prisoner called M.A called them and said: "Z.S and H.P tested positive for Covid- 19. They were brought back to the wards because there is no quarantine ward. After they were brought back to the ward, N.B and H.U who has a chronic disease started to have difficulty breathing and M.F.E had a fever and coughs. None of them were tested yet."

	&nbsp;

	Yoleri, stating that they can not confirm this information, called for precautions to be taken urgently in prisons.&nbsp;

	Z.S who tested poisitive for coronavirus participated in the hunger strike action initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Leyla Güven on December 26, 2018.&nbsp;
