HDP District Co-Mayor and Doctor Altundağ released from prison

	URFA - HDP Eyyubiye District Co-chair Ömer Bozdal and doctor Rezan Altundağ were released from prison.

	 

	Following Turkey's military operation against North and East Syria on October 9, 2019, 54 people were detained all over Urfa and 30 of them were arrested. Following their arrests, the prosecutor's office prepared 3 different indictment for them.

	 

	The hearing of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Eyyubiye District Co-Mayor Ömer Bozdal and doctor Rezan Altundağ was held at Urfa 5th High Criminal Court. Both attended the hearing via Video Information System (SEGBİS) from the Urfa T Type Closed Prison where they are held. Lawyers were also present at the hearing.

	 

	Bozdal and Altundağ  rejected the accusations in the indictment and requested their release.

	 

	The court decided to release both after their defense.
