Nesrin Nas: Government should apologize to politicians and journalists in prison 2020-04-08 11:16:28   İSTANBUL - Nesrin Nas who stated that the AKP wants to use the coronavirus as a vehicle and turn it into a success story on health, said: "The government should officially apologize from these politicians and journalists who are excluded from the regulation on the law of execution."   While the number of cases exceeds 34 thousand with the coronavirus (Covid- 19) which claimed the lives of 725 people, the government is being criticized for not taking the necessarry precautions. Despite these criticisms, the government that excluded political prisoners from the scope of the regulation on the law of execution, they prepared with MHP, did not hesitate to appoint trustees to the municipalities of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) and to ban the campaigns of municipalities such as Istanbul and Ankara metropolitan municipalities.   Motherland Party (ANAP) former Chair and Economist Dr. Nesrin Nas evaluated AKP's policies that revealed itself more clearly in these days.   Nas focused primarily on the regulation of the law proposal on the execution which excludes the political prisoners. Reacting to the adoption of the regulation in the Parliamentary Justice Commission in this form, Nas warned that prisons are at a great risk due to the epidemic and that such stubbornness may cause serious deaths.   Pointing out that the responsibility is the ruling party AKP's, Nas said: "The whole world knows that journalists and politicians in prisons are there for trumped up terror charges. We want to express that they have to be included in the law proposal. Beyond that, the government should officially apologize from these politicians and journalists who are excluded from the regulation on the law of execution, if you ask me. We demand the release of all journalists and politicians that are imprisoned with these trumped up terror charges which's definition have been expanded by the government."   MA / İdris Sayılgan
