'Stop the non-essential production' 2020-04-05 19:14:50   İZMİR- In a new statement announced for the workers, who died due to the infection of coronavirus pandemic, HDP İzmir Provincial Organization said that the government continued to take side with the capitalists by still not declaring a curfew.   Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) İzmir Provincial Organization announced in a written statement regarding the new cases and the workers who died due to the coronavirus pandemic.  It is stated that, "As AKP-MHP governments knows it very well that the only way to cope with the spread of the pandemic is to ensure quarantine measures, because of the fact that they do not apply these measures, Turkey rapidly moves into a process of great losses".   The statement emphasized that government does not take the necessary precautions against the pandemic: "While on the one hand, the public is told to stay home, on the other hands working people and labourers continue to work, especially in industrial sites, organized industrial zones and construction sites, where the workers have to work together and therefore face the risk of getting infected".   'THE RESPONSIBLE OF DEATH OF THE WORKERS IS THE GOVERNMENT'   The statement also informed that a worker, who has been working in a factory in Çiğli Organized Industrial Zone, is announced to have dies due to coronavirus and another worker is kept in intensive care unit. HDP statement called the government to stop the non-essential production activity immediately to save workers' lives, demanded to prohibit the cancellation of labour contracts and disemployments and to distribute disemployment pay and stated that the responsible of the death of the workers will be the employers and the government unless they do no apply these measures after this news of death.
