She has to travel 745 kilometers to visit his son for an hour 2020-02-18 11:04:46 ŞIRNAK- Reşit İlhan, who is imprisoned in Gümüşhane E Type Prison, reports that their rights have been violated and they are under pressure. Mother Ayşe İlhan, who could just visit his son 6 months ago, told that she needed to travel 745 km of road just to visit her son for an hour.    Reşit İlhan, 26 years old, was imprisoned during the curfews in Şırnak and sentenced to 36 years of prison. Via the telephone call with his family he explained the violations of rights of the prisoners. İlhan, who have been imprisoned for 4 years, noted that all their social activities have been banned and they have been kept under pressure. Also reporting that they are not given books and the letters that their families send, described the applications in the prison as "torture."   'THEY ARE TRYING TO BREAK OUR TIES WITH OUR CHILDREN'   İlhan's mother Ayşe İlhan (50), who demands the pressures that the prisoners are subjected to, said, “Although our children are already being punished, they don't leave them alone. My son is already kept behind the walls. Why are they putting pressure on him? What do they want from our children?" The mother indicated that her son had been previously held in Şırnak Prison, but then he was transferred to the prison Gümüşhane and he has been imprisoned in Gümüşhane for 2 years.   Mother İlhan said, “They are trying to prevent us from visiting our children. They send our children to distant prisons and try to punish us and break our ties with them. This is not humanitarian. We are not able to easily go to Gümüşhane and come back. It is not just far away, but also my health problem does not allow for me to travel long distances."   As we call the prison management regarding the issues reported by Reşit İlhan told that they could not share information, but they could only send a written response to the Ministry of Justice.
