Indicating that their complaints were ignored, citizens in the region called for action against the matter in question.   In the Cudi Mountain region in the rural areas of Şırnak, the mountain goats, whose population is on decrease and now under protection as endangered species, are targeted by people from the surrounding cities. It was learned that those people who came to the region under the name of "hunting rabbits and birds" recently hunted mountain goats. Villagers in the region made a call for authorities to take action.   'NO ONE PAYS ATTENTION TO WHAT WE SAY'   A citizen named İlyas Yağhan, who lives in the village of Karaca (Sorbitmin) in Silopi, addressed that hunting levels have risen up in Cudi Mountain region recently. Yağhan said, “Rabbits, mountain goats and bird species are being hunted. Such a pity for those animals. Nobody pays attention to what we say. These animals should be under protection. These animals should not be killed. This immorality must be stopped. Hunters should leave this mentality.  They particularly hunt mountain goats. The state can prevent them, but it does not dwell on this matter."   'DISINCENTIVE PENALTIES SHALL BE IMPOSED'   Yağhan raised the following call for action: "These people shall be given the highest penalties. If necessary, they should be put in jail. Slaughter of this animals should be prevented. Mountain goats are no harm to anyone. Disincentive penalties should be given to those hunters so that the hunting stops."   MA/ Müjdat Can
